Abstract:
Clubfoot, or congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV), is a common pediatric deformity characterized by abnormal foot positioning, typically presenting at birth. The Ponseti method, a non-surgical treatment strategy, has revolutionized the management of clubfoot and is widely regarded as the gold standard for its correction. This review examines the effectiveness, methodology, and long-term outcomes of the Ponseti method, drawing on a comprehensive analysis of current literature. The review also highlights the benefits, challenges, and considerations of this technique compared to other treatment options.
